‘Cathedral Eyethu’ Fundraising Camapign This is the phrase was used in a fundraising campaign called ‘Cathedral Eyethu’, IsiZulu phrase, which was launched to address the need for repairs to the aging cathedral. ‘Cathedral Eyethu’ translates to ‘Our Cathedral’ a term used by the Archdiocese of Durban to emphasize the shared spiritual significance of Emmanuel Cathedral for the local community and communities in other parishes under the Archdiocese of Durban.

The campaign was officially launched in 2021in a bid to raise funds for extensive renovations and repairs of the 120year old building. Due to the trying economy times, donations that have been appreciative received has not enabled satisfactory renovations to the be done.

Hence the campaign is ongoing, and more potential donors are encouraged to extend their help towards this good course.
