SHALOM AND WELCOME

We at Emmanuel Cathedral are truly blessed to be in one of the most challenging parts of the City of Durban. Our Lord Jesus always wanted to be with the hungry, lame, widows, sick, sinners and those needing justice and here we are in the thick of it all. We believe that we are called to be challenged as a diverse community serving humanity from the grass roots up. It’s wonderful to see people of so many languages and cultures worshipping, meeting and challenging each other as we strive be a light in the darkness. Daily, people of all faiths can be seen entering the Cathedral to pray quietly. Our Denis Hurley Centre serves the pastoral needs of the parish community and the over 4000 people with many physical, spiritual and social needs who seek help and solace at our doors every month. Pray we stay faithful to our mission to serve God through the poor and marginalized.

Be Blessed.
